Hair Tutorial // Messy Fishtail Pony

It's officially feeling like sweater weather out here. The past few days have felt really nice with breezy afternoons and chilly nights. Last year I got really into scarves and can't wait to pull out some chunky knit ones soon. For some reason with a scarf, I find that I actually like wearing my hair up or pulled away from my face...cue in a messy fishtail pony, way better than your average pony.
 1. Pull hair into a high pony. When going for a messy look, I like to flip my hair over and pull it into a pony so that it doesn't look too neat.
2. Separate pony into two sections and start to braid your hair into a fishtail.
3. Once your pony is fully braided, pull at it to make it messy. You can even use a hairbrush to roughen it up.

Hair Tutorial // Loose Pigtail Braids

Whenever autumn starts to roll around my brain automatically thinks Free People and then I start to think loose messy braids. I just love the bohemian vibe. I've tried to do loose pigtail braids before but somehow could never get it right. They would still come out looking too tight or the braid part didn't seem to fall far down enough. But then it came to me and it turns out the look is so easy to achieve. It's all in the twist to make it look effortless.
1. Split your hair into two even sides.
2. Twist your hair in towards your face and rubber band about an inch and half down.
3. Straighten out your hair so when you that begin to braid it comes down straight.
3. Braid whatever kind of braid you like...I went with a normal braid because it's fast.
4. Tie your braid at the bottom and cut the rubber band from the top of your braid.
5. Loosen the braid and repeat to the other side.

Hair Tutorial // Unicorn Braid Headband Tutorial

When I first did a unicorn braid on myself years ago, I was obsessed. I saw a pretty fishtail hairstyle like this and thought it would be even more amazing with a unicorn braid. I'm loving it...and it's always a good hairstyle when you can have a braid and your hair down too. win win. Try this and be ready to amaze people...like for real. It's that pretty.
Grab two pieces slightly behind the front of your hair.
Twist each piece counter clockwise.
Once both are twisted, twist them together going clockwise.
Repeat on other side and you have two small unicorn braids!
Pull braid back and across and pin. Try to hide your pins by getting under the opposite braid or your hair. Repeat to the other braid and you're all done!
