We Like to Throw Karaoke Parties

Every now and then my family likes to get together and have karaoke parties. My whole family loves to sing, I think it has something to do with my dad being in a band when he was younger. When I was a kid he used to pull out his guitar and me and my sis would sing The Beatles...good times.  For this karaoke party we were actually celebrating my oldest sisters birthday and she wanted to have an 80's theme...so lots of neon. There was a good collection of 80's music on the karaoke play list  but  my main songs for the night were Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl" and The Wreckers' "Leave the Pieces". Lately country music has been my thing.

Have you ever done karaoke? Do you have a song of choice? Do tell.

If You Want Something Do It Yourself: Color Block Tee

I feel like it's been way too long since I've done a diy post, so I'm really happy to be back with one. Since adding a color block blouse into my wardrobe, I felt myself wanting more of it...I may be just a bit late on this trend but I don't care. If you don't care either and want to add some color block to your life you're gonna love this...so easy, fast, and it really gives an your clothing some new life.

1. Turn your tees inside out. I measured 2 inches down from the armhole and made a mark on each side. Draw a line connecting the two markings so you know where to cut.
2. Cut along the line you just drew...repeat steps 1 & 2 for the second shirt.
3. Pin the contrasting tops and bottoms together.
4. Sew together

I think this would be fun if you mixed a solid tee and with a tee that has a fun print.
Let me know if you try it out.
